For sale: tomorrow’s antique from Finland

I’m going to shamelessly plug two very nice items I have for sale right now.

The first item is a savings bank money box from the 1920s or 1930s, engraved with “Ekenäs Sparbank”, which translates to “Savings Bank of Ekenäs“. (Ekenäs is a county in southwest Finland, some 100 km from Helsinki).

This is a rarity! I have never seen another like it. The starting price is 69.95 GBP (all prices are in pounds Sterling because this allows the auction to show on the British site as well as on the international one). Judging from the sound, there may be a few coins inside as a bonus.

The other item is an East German (DDR) commemorative plate with the text “1WDP Lenino-Berlin”, whatever that means. The plate comes in a wooden presentation box (the outside of the box is somewhat worn, but the inside as well as the plate are in perfect condition).

A metal plate fastened to the inside of the box carries a dedication text dated in 1976. The recipient is a former minister of Finland. - The starting price is 69.95 GBP here as well.

Both starting prices include postage to any country.

As noted on the auction site, I may have to stop an auction manually, for reasons pertaining to e.g. storage or transport. Therefore please place your bids now, because if you try to wait until the last moment, the item might be gone.
