On this weekend after the worst school massacre in Finnish history, Subtv aired episode 1811 of The Simpsons. According to the official episode guide, “Lisa tells the tale of nerd revenge at school. Milhouse leads the nerds as they fight back —”.
In a scene taking place on the schoolyard, Milhouse has a list of persons to wreak vengeance on. He exclaims “It’s great to have a weapon at school”, and proceeds to fire his glove-contained ray gun at everyone on his list. He actually seems to zap everyone in sight, including a boy he has never seen before (“this is prevenge!”), excluding only Lisa.
I love The Simpsons, and I am all for artistic freedom. Subtv could have shown the good taste to postpone this particular episode though.
