Ham radio summer camp in Finland—hopefully

The Finnish Amateur Radio League strives to organize a second yearly summer camp for 9 to 16 year olds, at Revontuli Resort, Hankasalmi, Finland, from 3 through 10 July 2008.

Apart from swimming and other usual summer activities, the camp would have a special emphasis on radio amateur studies. Last year, 17 girls and boys passed their ham radio exams at the camp, finding a new, exciting and international hobby. The participation fee will be 150 €.

Still, whether the camp will come true is still uncertain—more participants are needed in order to reach the minimum required for arranging the camp. Please spread the word among Finnish parents, children and teens!
