Sure the players, especially the new ones, need to be informed about how to handle a marker on and off the field. But I also think the field operators should be obligated to start a paintball day with a informational gathering to get the message to the players.

Here in Belgium I've always been informed before picking up the marker. The best psychological impact was without words.

The field operator took the marker without speaking and aimed to an empty paintball box, you know the cardboard is plasticized and hard. You can't even put a hole into it with your finger, BUT from 3m (12feet) the paintball went straight through it, we were all sitting there with our mouths open. Then the operator said, "You all have arrived here with two eyes you will be leaving with two eyes, ONLY if you wear your mask ALL the time while on the field!". Message arrived ...

A little shock to get the message through won't harm.

On one paintball field there was a body punishment if you took off your mask while still being on the field. After the game your own team had to take each one shot at you from a distance of 5m (15feet), I assure you, you don't do that twice LOL.

Definately a good idea. This needs to be regulated by law. Too much power, not enough training and safely rules
