The Finnish government has drafted an ad hoc bill in order to launch an investigation into the homicides that took place in a Jokela school last November.

For a year now, Finland has had a law that allows ISPs to prevent users from accessing websites that contain pornography depicting minors. As the law was drafted, privacy concerns were downplayed by statements to the effect that this was to be a one-off law warranted by the extreme reprehensibility of child porn.
