F-Secure hotfix removes network connectivity, is recalled

The hotfix fsav840-02, which F‑Secure released on 15 October 2009, inadvertently places the product in network quarantine mode if this feature is enabled. This effectively means that the system on which the hotfix is installed no longer can connect to the network at large, only to the Policy Manager and the update servers.
